It’s an amazing free player that looks and sounds great and I think is very underrated I must say for what it does. And it also has the host of DSPs like surround VPT, normaliser and EQ. I can also select D2P and DOP if I wish but I think native sounds best. This shows that DSEE HX converts all files to 48khz except dsd which is natively played back. Amazing discovery as far as I’m concerned.Īnother thing to note is that if I enable DSEE HX in the music centre app the led shows yellow for all file types and green for dsd. The Sony music centre app also supports native dsd output and this reflects on my FiiO as well. The FiiO dac LED changes color based on the file bitrate, blue for 44.1khz and below, yellow for 48khz and above and green for dsd.

I have to constantly keep going Bluetooth settings to reconnect even if it’s still connected & playing my music.A little off topic subject. Now, when I go back to the Sony app, it’s working.īasically, everything I leave the app it’s working, when I go back the app is saying need to set up. If I select the device which is already connected, nothing happens as it’s already connected.

When it says please connect the speaker to Bluetooth, I go settings, Bluetooth and then look at the available devices.Īs expected, it shows my speaker is connected to my phone. You can’t lower volume, skip track etc etc. Whilst in this state, you’re unable to communicate with the speaker using phone. It then says please connect to Bluetooth. If you click the connected device, the app will attempt to connect again even though my music is still playing through the speaker. The one you’re connected and the other saying need to set up. There will be another device which says “ Needs to be setup “. Say, you flick off the app to use another app, when you come back to the song app,

When you open the app, it shows you’re connected and you can use all the features fine. You connect your speaker to your iPhone or iPad. I bought a Sony SRS - XB41 wireless speaker. Fix it Sony C’mon its 2019 for crying out loud.

Constant connection issues, speaker constantly duplicates itself on the device list causing errors and a pathetic excuse of ‘troubleshooting’, I even get to the point when my speaker will not change volume via phone or speaker because the app has gone wrong in some sort of way as per usual, then, after a little while, you obviously turned your phone up to full volume and when the speaker/app finally decides to kick in and work again, it blasts out at 100% volume out of nowhere or whatever volume you left it on hence because the volume mixer had frozen or broke. I am actually disgusted that Sony would publish an app of this bad of quality to be honest.
